RN Position Summary
A Registered Nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help provide patient care. The duties of a RN may vary, but generally include the following:
·Manage the nursing care for all residents and delegate shift tasks to nurses.
·Supervise nurse aides as they complete their assignments.
·Observe residents’ conditions, oversee, and respond as necessary.
·Inform physicians of any changes in resident conditions.
·Communicate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary team about care plan changes.
·Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
RN Requirements
·Current unrestricted RN license in practicing state
·Current CPR/BLS Certification
